Anthony Hodgson, formerly a consultant to international corporations, is an independent researcher in foresight and the systems sciences. His research company is Decision Integrity Ltd based in Scotland. He is a founder member of the International Futures Forum (IFF). Deeply interested in the global socio-ecological problematique, he has developed a whole systems approach to resilience based on an innovative world systems model that is also the basis of the IFF World Game. His strong interest in innovation in higher education is expressed in a collaboration that has formed H3Uni (www.h3uni.org ), an experimental ‘university for the third horizon’ of which he is a trustee. This project is dedicated to communicating facilitation and thinking skills,. He is also Honorary Research Fellow of the University of Dundee, attached to the Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience (CECHR). His role there is to contribute to understanding and practice of transformational facilitation. In his previous professional consulting career he carried out innovative projects for multinational corporations and government departments, especially in the areas of strategy and foresight. His first degree is in chemistry from the Royal College of Science, Imperial College. His postgraduate qualifications are a P.G.C.E. from the Institute of Education, University of London, and a Ph.D. in systems science from the University of Hull Centre for Systems Studies. In his 20s he was a Research Fellow for several years in interdisciplinary studies and educational methods. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
